One of the cool things about the game is that each nation is given its own attributes that perfectly match the real life historical attributes that the nation would have possessed. Battles are made of up to eight thousand units and there is a lot going on on the battlefield. In addition, the nations also have their own graphics, which helps make them easier to keep track of.
The game maps are very detailed and the graphics help to add an extra dimension to make the game come to life. there are lots of different battles to get engaged in from guerrilla wars to city sieges and players have a certain amount of control over which battles they choose and how things will play out. It is worth noting that the computer AIs are rather intelligent and gamers who are playing the single mode may sometimes find that their work is cut out for them.
